Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles ended with a bang of unseen twists that have left fans with plenty of unanswered questions. The highest among them being will the show return next season?

For Sci-Fi lovers, TTSCC fills a void that few other shows have been able to. Even super popular Lost falls short of sparking the same sort of fire in the imaginations of sci-fi fans. From the very first Terminator film to the TTSCC series and even the upcoming feature film Terminator Salvation, fans of the story are as devoted as Trekkies to Star Trek, and many of us fans are devoted to both. So, it’s no wonder that many are begging for fast confirmation that the series will return next season.

There is also the “2 seasons and gone” factor that seems to kill a lot of sci-fi series fueling anxieties in TTSCC fans. There seems to be a trend with networks shutting down sci-fi series after the second or third seasons, usually claiming that high production costs with a limited audience size caused the decision. The original Star Trek series lasted only 3 seasons, and more recently there was the wildly popular (among sci-fi fans) Firefly series (which like TTSCC featured actress Summer Glau) that was killed after just 1 season.

Luckily, Firefly creator Jos Whedon was able to get the rights and funding to produce a movie, Serenity, based on the Firefly series to wrap-up the loose ends and unanswered questions for fans.
