Conservatives critical of President Obama’s financial plans and policies are planning anti-tax tea parties all across this country on Wednesday to protest.

Organizers claim the parties are inspired by the 1773 Boston Tea Party rebellion against British colonial taxes, and some, in video and online commentary have suggested they are victims suffering oppression of taxation without representation.

That notion seems more like the exaggerated frustrations of sore losers however, since every American has democratically elected representation in Congress.

After all a free democracy does not guarantee every individual in the representation they may want, but rather guarantees the representation that the majority decides upon in any given election cycle.
