The Digital TV Transition Is Here!

Today is the day, stations across the country are shutting off their analog signals. Most people won’t notice a thing, though an estimated 3 millions homes will watch their television screens go dark as they haven’t yet made the necessary moves to convert their systems for the digital signals.
Still, despite being an almost non-event for most people thanks to a massive information campaign from the government and media, and also thanks to the numerous delays in making the actual transition, it is the source of much discussion online. A little like the feared Y2K bug, everybody’s talking about it, but very few are seeing any actual problems from it.
If you have any questions about the switch in your area there is a handy guide at www.dtv.gov that you can use to lookup your zip code and find information.
