Magic Salt

As winter storms begin to blanket much of the nation in this season’s white coat of snow and ice, it isn’t just the children who are happy to see it come. While most adults, even those who think a fresh snowfall looks ‘pretty’ on the landscape, consider the snow, ice and slush an annoyance to shovel and drive on, the folks behind Magic Salt are certainly excited by the prospects of a heavy snow season.

That’s because their product is gaining a lot of publicity and favor with consumers. It begins as ordinary rock salt, but is then treated with a liquid, agricultural by-product of the distilling process (a little Coke with your Rum and Vodka?), Magic Salt is then more effective at lower temperatures, more environmentally friendly and less corrosive than ordinary rock salts.

It’s little wonder that people and municipalities are lining up to get it, and talking about it all over the web as we enter what many believe will be an extremely harsh winter season.
